Fly to Ulgii, trekking at Tsambagarav Mountain
You will land in Ulgii city in the morning around 9 o’clock. Afterwards, we will drive to Tsambagarav Mountain National Park is situated along the border of Khovd Province. This Park has many snow-capped peaks and glaciers. It is houses of a number of wild animals on the southern slope there are small patches of larch which are coniferous trees. This Park is filled with beautiful valleys and gorges making it a very spectacular destination. After the trekking we will head to Eagle huntress’s family.
Golden Eagle Festival
Golden Eagle Festival is a must-see event in Asia, particularly in Mongolia. It is a festival to demonstrate the culture of the Kazakhs to the world and promotes their heritage to their next generations. Golden Eagles (Aquila Chrysacty) have incredible speed, great eyesight, and powerful feet with sharp talons. In the eagle festival, Kazakh eagle hunters (Burkitshi) celebrate their heritage and compete to catch small animals such as foxes and hares with specially trained golden eagles, showing off the skills both of the birds and their trainers. Prizes are awarded for speed, agility and accuracy, as well as for the best traditional Kazakh dress, and more. The hunting is done on a horseback.
Visit Kazakh Family
We will explore ancient petroglyphs which are more than 8000 years old. We visit eagle hunter family to learn about their way of living. In the evening we will stay with Kazakh family in Ulaankhus and experience their culture and tradition. Their life is completely different from Khalkha Mongolians. Bayan-Ulgii is a home to the Kazakh ethnic group. The Kazakhs have rich culture, close extended families, and many traditions that are centuries old are still practiced to this day.
Ulaanbaatar, Tumen Ekh Ensemble
In the afternoon we will take off to Ulaanbaatar. From the airport we will drive to your hotel and you can have some rest. In the evening we are going to enjoy the Tumen Ekh Ensemble Mongolian traditional concert. Featuring folk and traditional music, song, dance and contortion, Tumen Ekh is a must-see for visitors to Mongolia’s capital city Ulaanbaatar and those interested in the colorful art and culture of the land of the blue sky. You will experience the real Mongolian musical culture
